Villa Fontanas features charming decor and a cozy lounge area with complimentary coffee and tea, making it feel inviting and homey. The bright and clean rooms, combined with friendly management, truly enhanced my stay.
Check-in was a bit lengthy due to bar line.

The room was really spacious, which I loved. The bed was super comfortable and there were convenient outlets next to it. The shower was hot and refreshing too. Just a heads up though, the noise from the next room was a bit much—you could hear them chatting like they were in the same space. Overall, it was nice but the noise took away from the chill vibe.

Beautifully restored village environment with charming details.
Inaccessible top-floor room design made it difficult to access my accommodation.

Welcoming and friendly reception set a good tone.
Considering the circumstances, check-in was frustratingly slow. I had to wait in a long line at the bar just to get a key, which felt inefficient. Moreover, the lack of coffee supplies in the lobby was disappointing. despite my inquiries, it remained unstocked, forcing me to spend additional time waiting to buy a café con leche.

The reception staff made us feel welcomed, offering personalized recommendations for local spots. Our room was well-maintained, providing a comfortable space after a long day of cycling. The evening meal featured hearty local meat and potatoes, perfect replenishment for hungry cyclists. We appreciated the city view from our room, adding to the charm of our stay.
The menu at the restaurant was somewhat limited, lacking diversity in options.

Beautifully restored village environment with charming details, making it a unique stop along the Camino. The outdoor garden offers a nice spot to relax and unwind after a long trek.
The check-in process can drag on due to having to wait in line at the cafe bar, which isn't ideal after a long day on the Camino. Additionally, the coffee station in the lobby often lacks basic supplies like milk and sugar, forcing a detour back to the bar for that morning caffeine fix. Noise from adjoining rooms was noticeable at times, which detracted from the overall comfort. Some top-floor rooms may feel cramped due to sloping ceilings, which could be awkward for taller guests.
